Christian rap artist, “AC” Antoine Cabarrus, was born and spent his childhood in Orange, New Jersey. He developed a passion for sports and music early in his life, but didn’t flourish until his family moved to Huntington, West Virginia. While living in Huntington, AC received a full ride scholarship to play football at Marshall University, and earned two bachelors and a master’s degree in the process. Antoine joined the United States Army shortly after graduating college in 2009 and rose to the rank of Captain during his military career.
As an independent artist, AC became established as a well-known artist in his community and abroad on many mission trips. He has traveled to Taiwan three times, and last summer was his first trip to Africa. While visiting Africa he volunteered in the medical clinic during the day and performed for thousands who attended the conference in the evening. He has plans to return to Taiwan this summer where he will also share his music and give back any way he can.
After releasing his last album, 4:13 All Through Christ, AC received national recognition for his hard work. He received six nominations and won 2018 Alternative Christian Rap CD of the Year. His music video to the song “Fallin’” featuring musical artist Melody Joy, became a fan favorite as it quickly reached over 1.2 million views. AC’s diverse writing style has allowed him to crossover into many genres and collaborate with several artists outside of the hip-hop realm. His recent release “The Storm” is a collaboration featuring artist Kelsie May, who was a fan favorite on season 8 of The Voice.
In 2021 AC released his album, Strength in the Dark, which gives a personal account of his battle and victory over depression after enduring 3 back surgeries. AC has been able to use the experiences that he sings about on this album as a platform for mental health everywhere he goes.
AC released his 6th album “Through It All” in July that features several motivational, inspirational, and relatable songs about current issues that we face everyday. The message throughout this album focuses on being able to go through adversity and remain positive while facing multiple hardships in life.
In the summer of 2023, AC released two music videos to debut his new album “Let’s Go” in Aug 22’. This project is full of energy and has been his best work yet. AC is currently about to release an action-packed music video using a song from his recent album. He’s also about to hit the ground running by releasing a new single on January 1 to kick off the year 2024. Furthermore, AC will be making a debut as an actor by playing a small role in the movie The Good Fight that’s releasing on January 5th. He is very optimistic about the upcoming year, and the opportunities that continue to come his way.
This whole process hasn’t been easy, and things have moved very slow at times. I’m forever grateful to those of you who’ve stuck by my side through the good times and the bad. I'm also overwhelmed by the amount of support that I've had on the days that I wanted to quit. God bless you all!
AC - Run It Up | Bounce
I released my first professionally recorded album in 2013.
I recorded 2 Real the following year with my best friend Deano Mission.
In 2015, I dropped my first EP “Not of This World”.
This EP was a quick project I made to piggyback of the release of the EP before this one.
This album received 6 nominations and won Christian Alternative Rap Album of the Year in 2018.
This album is probably the deepest collection of songs that I've ever wrote. I wrote and recorded these songs during the toughest time of my life when I was struggling with depression.
As an independent artist, your support and contributions will enable me to continue to reach as many as I can with my music. Your generous donations will help go towards my music and traveling expenses. If you have a business, and would like to sponsor me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much and God Bless!
